Jaguar Heritage 1922 to 2016

Nigel was brought up with Jaguars, his father's cars including a pre-war SS Jaguar, a Mark IX and a couple of Mark Xs, and his elder brother has held numerous examples from 1950s XK to E-types. Since then Nigel has owned over 60 Jaguars and Daimlers, beginning with a Mark 2 at the age of 18 and currently running a modern XK sports car and XJ saloon.

Nigel wrote his first book, The Jaguar Mark 1 & 2, a Complete Companion, in 1983. Some 25 titles later his latest works including You & Your Jaguar XK, Jaguar All the Cars and several Enthusiasts’ Buying Guides on different Jaguar models.

Nigel was a founder and is a Director of the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club, and has been editor of their Jaguar Enthusiast magazine since its inception. He also writes for other publications, has appeared in TV programmes and gives many talks both here and abroad on Jaguar, other motoring topics and other non-motoring subjects.

His talk will chart the rise of the Jaguar motor company from its inception as the Swallow Sidecar Company in Blackpool to its present day ownership.

The Society meets at the Hull Royal Hotel, 170 Ferensway, Hull HU1 3UF

All lectures are presented in the Royal Suite and start at 7.30pm prompt.

 

Doors are normally open at 6.45pm but access may be delayed if lecture preparations are not complete.

 

The audience are requested to please be in their seats before 7.25pm
