Stepping into the World of Horology

Adam joined Christie's South Kensington assisting in cataloguing and valuing international for sales and attending major auctions in Geneva He has worked for the past fourteen years at Tennants Auctioneers, specialising in horology where he has been involved in the valuation and sale of many local private collections, at one time holding the record for the most expensive clock sold in a provincial auction house.

Adam will introduce us to the development of clocks from the 17th century to the modern day wristwatch. He will enlighten us on such things as How to spot a fake Rolex and will introduce many interesting facts and guides to other makes.


The Society meets at the Hull Royal Hotel, 170 Ferensway, Hull HU1 3UF

All lectures are presented in the Royal Suite and start at 7.30pm prompt.


Doors are normally open at 6.45pm but access may be delayed if lecture preparations are not complete.


The audience are requested to please be in their seats before 7.25pm
